The naming rights to the building were also purchased by MCI for an undisclosed amount. The nearest airport from the MCI Center is a mere 15 miles away and three players have had their numbers retired in the Wizards’ hall of fame. Those players were Elvin Hayes (11), Gus Johnson (25), and Wes Unseld (41). When the MCI Center is in its basketball configuration, more than 20,000 people can enjoy watching the Wizards or Mystics. The MCI Center also features 110 luxury suites and 3,000 club level seats for their fans to enjoy.
