Home of: Utah Jazz (NBA)

Date opened: 1991

Capacity: 19,911

The Delta Center, located at 301 West South Temple, Salt Lake City, UT 84101, was opened in 1991 and is the home of the NBA’s Utah Jazz and the WNBA’s Utah Starzz. The arena is owned by Jazz owner Larry H. Miller and cost $94 million to build. In 1991, Delta Air Lines paid $25 million for 20-year naming rights on the building. The Jazz have retired three numbers in the Delta Center, most notably the #7 of “Pistol” Pete Maravich. The Delta Center has earned the reputation of being one of the nosiest buildings in the league over the years because it’s so closed in and the sound can amplify better. The Delta Center can hold 19,911 people and also features 56 luxury suites and 668 club level seats.
